Beer Garden
Refresh, revive & imbibe with some of Pittsburgh's finest
Breweries in residence Necromancer Brewing and Trace Brewing are pouring beers all summer long in the Cultural District alongside refreshing cocktail and mocktail offerings from Pittsburgh Mobile Bars and local faire from Franktuary. The Backyard at 8th & Penn sponsored by the Giant Eagle Foundation is also Pittsburgh's summer home for the breathtaking and immersive artistic spectacle from the UK — Architects of Air: Daedalum.
Entry to the Beer Garden is free and open to everyone. Leashed pets are welcome.
Tickets are required for entry to Architects of Air: Daedalum. Get tickets now at TrustArts.org/ArchitectsofAir or join the first-come, first-served walk-up line on-site.
Architects of Air: Daedalum
From the UK-based company Architects of Air and its founder, Alan Parkinson, the Backyard at 8th & Penn welcomes the innovative and otherworldly Daedalum this summer to the Cultural District.
Sparkly Clean by Naomi Chambers
Sparkly Clean is a mural by artist Naomi Chambers, designed to bring fun and familiar comforts to the Backyard at 8th & Penn. The artist's inspiration – bubbles – can be irregularly shaped or round, tiny or as big as our heads. According to Chambers, it takes all shapes and sizes to create the ideal bubble bath, just like it takes diverse people and ideas to make an ideal city.
