Lynn Johnson and Jen Saffron
Gallery Crawl: July 12
This photographic exhibition explores the destruction and recreation of a small community in Odisha State, India, documenting the stories of 500 villagers violently driven from their homes in 2008 in a rising tide of religious intolerance. Since late 2011, Johnson and Saffron have been working in solidarity with Indian and U.S. community leaders and the Koraput Survivors, themselves, leveraging photography, writing, and the power of physical presence as tools for positive social change.
