John Holt has been performing professionally since the age of 14 when he appeared in the Civic Light Opera’s production of “The King and I.” Since then he has performed in numerous musicals including; “West Side Story”, “Kiss Me Kate”, “Naughty Marietta”, “Company”, ”Cabaret” and “Damn Yankees”. He has performed at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, CCAC South Campus, McKeesport Little Theater, Red Barn and Steel City Theater. He has also performed in industrials and dinner theater with Don Brockett Productions. In the early 90’s Holt decided to branch out and began producing, performing and arranging for his own cabaret shows. He had a successful ten year run at the Shiloh Inn on Mt. Washington with notable productions of “Simply Sondheim”, “John Holt and the Pittsburgh Divas” and “Broadway at Shiloh” to name a few. He then began a six year stint at the Hyeholde, writing, arranging, performing and producing such shows as “Two Belters and a Piano Man”, “Cole Porter and Friends” and “John Holt – A Musical Life”, among others. He is currently performing in his one man show, “John Holt – Voice of the Stars”, where he does vocal impressions of over 27 of the greatest female singers of the past eight decades, including Billie Holliday, Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion and Carol Channing. He also performs classic duets such as “You Don’t Send Me Flowers” and “Unforgettable.” Holt has performed in cabarets in San Francisco, Key West, New York and Ft. Lauderdale. During the day, he is a recruiter for PNC Bank.

Tickets may be purchased at the host desk prior to the event.  We’re sorry, but advance purchase is not available for late night presentations.  Theater doors for Late Night shows open at 10PM, but you may arrive earlier and enjoy happy hour in the Backstage Bar.  Our online menu is available here.  If you have any questions, please call our host desk at 412-325-6769.
