About This Performance

MacMillan found his creative inspiration for this work in Chapters 11 and 12 of the Book of Revelation. Concertmaster Noah Bendix-Balgley will perform Beethoven's memorable and beautiful romances. Brahms' Symphony No. 4, the last of Brahms' symphonies, is rich in allusions, most notably to various Beethoven compositions.
