Anqwenique Wingfield is an extremely versatile vocalist and teaching artist specializing in opera, classical music, jazz and soul. Anqwenique has performed lead operatic roles such as Magda Sorel of Carl Menotti's The Consul and Hanna Glawari of Franz Lehar’s The Merry Widow and the title role of La Perichole by Offenbach. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Voice Performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

In 2011 she was chosen as a resident artist of JAZZSPACE, an organization that aims to support emerging jazz artists in Pittsburgh. She has performed jazz in venues such as the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, New Hazlett Theater, August Wilson Center, Shadow Lounge, James Street Gastropub and Backstage Bar. As a teaching artist, Anqwenique has shared her talents and experience with many young singers and musicians in Pittsburgh. She currently teaches voice and piano at Hope Academy of East Liberty Presbyterian Church.
