Participants are immersed in a curriculum developed and designed to provide a rigorous, two week course of study with dynamic teaching artists, many from the August Wilson Center's Dance Ensemble which was recently named "Top 25 To Watch" by Dance Magazine. In addition to technique classes in modern and ballet, the course includes master classes in African dance, hip-hop and acting for dancers. The program is structured to artistically challenge and push each participant, while fostering the greatest level of individual artistic development.
The two week program will conclude with an informal public performance/demonstration, giving the participants the opportunity to showcase their achievements, and to experience performing in a professional theater environment. Audition is required.
